I am recent college grad who has been planning my family's vacations, and then my solo travels, since I was 11 years old! I'm from New York, so NYC is my specialty, but I've been all over the East and West Coasts, as well as much of Europe, and I'm looking to travel to Asia soon. Throughout my solo travels, I've learned that I prefer a balance between tourist attractions and living like a local (with a heavier emphasis on the latter). As a student, I travel on a VERY tight budget, but I've figured out how to stretch every dollar and where to compromise in order to not miss a single experience.
