Little did I know London was on the horizon, and while my annual anniversary trip was much tamer than usual in humble Huntsville AL, I was so glad to do a solo Disney World trip (again), take my girls on the road for the first time to Louisiana, and have lots of Tennessee day trips in between. Central Oregon is a stunning place to visit. It's off the beaten path from the bustling urban atmosphere of Portland (~3.5 hours away) and it's the perfect destination if you're into brews and views. Oregon's landscape is truly unmatched and it holds a special place in my heart after living in the state for 5 years. Unlike the moderate climate of the west coast, central Oregon is well known for its winter and spectacular skiing. But, I recommend visiting Bend in the warmer months from May - September to experience the sunny mountain town vibes, enjoying the endless patio dining options, hitting the trail, floating the river, or biking through the high desert scenery. In this guide I've outlined some fun activities, recommendations for lodging, as well as the top spots for breakfast, great bites, and top notch breweries.

There are countless ways to spend an incredible day in San Sebastian! After living 60+ days there, I’ve narrowed down a curated list of my favorite restaurants, activities, and bars. A jam-packed day full of breakfast, activities, lunch, more activities, dinner, and even more activities! While I don’t include stops for museums and cathedrals, I would still consider this a day of sight-seeing from a more local, casual point of view. When? This guide is can be effectively utilized year-round! Of course certain activities might be more comfortable in warmer weather, but that didn’t stop me from throwing on a beanie and puffer jacket and making my way around town! Where? As someone who values walkability, San Sebastian is the perfect sized town to get your steps in while still being realistic. I never used public transportation unless I was visiting a neighboring town. The roads and sidewalks are very pedestrian-friendly. Why? Planning an entire day or trip’s worth of activities can be intimidating! Especially if you don’t have a lay of the land and a grasp on the different neighborhoods. You don’t want to be crossing the river or going back and forth from Parte Vieja to Gros all day long, you want to make the most of your time! My guide takes into account timing and locations so you can have an enjoyable, seamless journey throughout the town without constantly looking at Google Maps and walking in circles.

Iceland is a beautiful place to visit year-round, with the activities changing depending on the time of year you choose to visit. The warmer months are fun to explore this country because the summer sun creates a never-ending amount of time for adventures, seeing the puffin community, and hitting all the must-sees while not worrying about snow. This guide will give you the best places to hit in town and around the island whether you are planning for day trip excursions, road-tripping around Ring Road, or sticking to one section. This is the list of can't-miss things and places while visiting! The list below is packed with many options on how to plan for a summer trip to Iceland. First and foremost, you will not be able to see everything on this list if you are going for a week or less, and you will have to make peace with that and get excited to come back. There is so much to do on this island, make sure to give yourself plenty of time for traveling between places and exploring. There are plenty of random pull-offs to explore that might sidetrack from the original plan.
