This Wild Soul - Alice
Lives in London, UK
Hi, I'm Alice! I have a fondness for seeking out unique, once in a lifetime, once in a destination experiences. I've personally explored 32 countries to date. My favourite destinations so far have been Flores in Indonesia, Varanasi in India, Nyungwe in Rwanda and Chiapas State in Mexico -because they were all a little off the beaten path and totally magical! I'm an experienced solo traveller and a small group travel leader! I love trying new things, connecting with locals, hiking through nature & seeing different cultures unique and quirky traditions! I work as a freelance Travel Coordinator for the global adventure travel company WeRoad ( https://www.weroad.co.uk/ ) leading small group adventure tours to worldwide destinations several times a year. If small group travel with fab vibes is your jam, you're welcome to use my discount code: INCOORLEAKEALI for 10% OFF ANY of their tours. If you prefer doing your own thing and customising your own bespoke trip, read on... because you're in safe hands with these guides! I'm a thorough researcher and planning trips is my forte. I've taken great care over these resources, they also, where possible, empower locals I highly recommend and have personally worked with. This is invaluable because when you get on the ground the most useful thing in many of these destinations is contacts you can trust and are dependable! When I'm not planning my next trip, I spend my days as a rowing coach and freelance artist/designer. You might also find me attempting to touch my toes at yoga, or learning to dance with fire poi! One of my favourite places on earth is actually Burning Man Festival and as you can imagine I have a joie de vivre nature and that's just what your trip will have if you choose my services! So, if you want the best travel experience poss, search up my destination guides with confidence, purchase a custom itinerary or hop on a destination consultation with me, and I will thoroughly prep you for your best time ever! x

Welcome to my page! 👋🏼  When I was 16, I packed my bags and left everything familiar I had ever known in my hometown of Toronto to move to Switzerland. That year away changed so much for me and had such a meaningful influence on my life, outlook and perspective. And the travel bug has been with me ever since. So after visiting nearly 50 countries, living in four, and collecting 20 years worth of adventures, lessons and insights, I’m eager to channel all of that into helping others. 🗺️ What I’m great for: mature travelers, couples, solo wanderers and families who enjoy authentic experiences, great food and drinks, a mix of classic sights and off-the-beaten-track gems, and being outside.  🌍 What you can find here: guides, itineraries, lists and self-guided tours of London, UK, Europe and beyond. I’ve only chosen some of the places I’ve been recently so everything here is fresh and relevant.  🇬🇧 My specialty: London. I’ve lived here for over 9 years and have a hugeeee treasure trove of high-quality places, intel and advice so I focus my custom itinerary and curated recommendation services on only this city. 💁🏻‍♀️ Why trust me: my track record of delighted clients speaks for itself, reflected in the wonderful five-star reviews they’ve shared 🤍 📸 Follow me on IG (@awaywithalbs) for my latest adventures. Lives in İstanbul, Türkiye
Do you want to explore Türkiye (Turkey) LIKE A LOCAL? Then you're in the correct place! I'm a Mexican living in Istanbul for the past 8 years. Me and my husband who was born and raised in Istanbul and is a licensed tour guide in Turkiye we both love exploring the country and share everything through our social media and guides with our amazing audience. What makes us way different is that you’ll never see us recommending ultra popular spots that have become “trendy” thanks to TikTok or Instagram because more likely they are just tourist traps and you’ll end up dissapointed either for the bad quality of the services, prices, etc, instead, we show you the city and country in a much more authentic way, from a LOCAL eye, in a way that surely you’ll remember forever. In addition to that, we also give you our little secrets that most don’t know about, we go deeper into detail and that I, of course, have learnt throughout these years of living here and experiencing every corner of the city, and tricks that also my Istanbulite husband have thought me. So, are you ready to explore the city in an authentic way? If so, our guides and itineraries are tailored exactly for that, and trust me, they’ll save you MONTHS and MONTHS of research and stress! Everything you need for an Istanbul trip is compiled here, It took me almost a year to put everything together for you, and my ebooks that became BEST SELLERS almost right away after launching them in February of 2022, now I share them here with the platform’s format, they have been very welcomed by my audience and have made a huge impact when planning their trips to Istanbul. What are you waiting for? Our guides are just a click away!

Lives in Florence, Metropolitan City of Florence, Italy
Ciao! My name is Danielle and I'm a Californian from San Diego, who's been living full time in Florence, Italy since 2020. I studied in Florence in 2016 and absolutely fell in love with the food, culture, and history, and made it my mission to move back. I moved right before the pandemic, and staying here through all the lockdowns and pandemic life really helped me discover slow travel and find all of Italy's beauty, including lesser known gems, and off the beaten path travel spots. During my three years in Florence, I have wrote for publications like The Florentine, done freelance marketing with restaurants and a travel agency, giving me high insight into the best destinations, foodie spots, and more. I am here to help you make the most of your vacation in Italy with curated itineraries for every type of traveler and digital maps to help you enjoy THE BEST food each region has to offer. Let me do the work so you can just relax and enjoy, without any stress! I've had a very unique experience living in Italy the last 4 years, as I made my official move right before the pandemic, after visiting for years. Because of this I learned to travel locally and deeply throughout the numerous incredible destinations in Italy and for that I cater my travel services to finding the most local and mindful experiences, keeping true to discovering and appreciating Italy's culture.

Amy Is Going Places
New Pro
Lives in Johnson City, TN, USA
US native. Former resident of Romania. Current solo female globe trotter. I've ventured to more than a dozen countries across four continents as part of group tours, volunteer work, solo travel, studying abroad, and teaching internationally. I lived for over a year in Romania, many years in Tennessee, and several months in England. My travel style is slow, spontaneous, and - shall we say - richly flavorful. I prefer to stay longer lengths in places instead of having a whirlwind sightseeing venture. I'll skip the chain restaurants for a hole-in-the-wall café any day of the week. I prefer a loose itinerary and remain open to what each day brings. My favorite things to do and see as I travel are... - EAT - Try whatever is local. Order the special of the day. Talk with the restaurant staff. - WALK - It encourages me to slow down, notice, and get a feel for community. - HIKE - I'm a lazy hiker. By "hike," I mean a few hours at a slow pace. - MUSEUMS - Spend an afternoon. Read the descriptions on exhibits. Talk with the docents. Buy something in the giftshop. - CHURCHES - I'm fascinated by the various ways people have worshipped the God of the Bible over centuries and across borders. Many older churches are also museums or tourist-friendly spaces. Some additionally hold regular liturgical services. - CASTLES - Castles, fortresses, palaces, big ol' houses: these places transport me back in time. I imagine the people who built, lived in, and defended them. What would they think of how we now live? If this kind of travel sounds ideal to you, hit the Contact Me button! I'd love to help you experience slower, more meaningful travel. We'll discuss tips for how to make the most of your trip, with low stress, reasonable safety, affordability, and lots of fun. Book one of my custom services, and we'll work together to get you wheels up on your next adventure! Follow me to easily access all the resources I create.

Lives in Hanoi, Hoàn Kiếm, Hanoi, Vietnam
🇻🇳 Hi, my name is Viet, and I have dedicated the last 9 years of my life to an extremely intense exploration of my homeland - Vietnam. 🏙️🏞️ I have traveled the whole country several times, starting with the main cities and common routes, and ending up exploring countless off-the-beaten-path trails and ethnic villages in remote mountainous areas. 🏍️ As a passionate motorcyclist, I have done all of my trips on 2 wheels, giving me the opportunity to truly experience and be connected with both the surroundings and the people in the present moment. My records show that during the last years, I have spent over 80,000 kilometers and 550 days just on the road, not counting living in several different places across the country or working with the ethnic minorities in the Northwestern region, contributing to a sustainable community-based tourism projects. 💫 I can proudly and with great confidence say that I've seen and experienced a lot in Vietnam and have truly been living my passion - exploring and understanding Vietnam as much as possible - to the fullest, ultimately turning into a destination expert. 🙋🏻‍♂️ 🫴 Now I'm here on a mission to uncover the most authentic travel experiences in this breathtakingly rich country, which is absolutely worth visiting but can be quite challenging for first-time visitors to truly experience its real beauty. My goal is not to produce as many guides as possible, yet to create truly in-depth and trustable source of information. ℹ️ I have years of experience with tour guiding, custom itinerary planning, and consulting for hundreds of travelers, explorers, and adventurers. My maps, guides, and services here on Thatch are mainly focused on those who use cars, buses, trains, and planes as a form of transportation and are planning for "beyond general exploration of Vietnam" in a truly authentic way.
