Hey! I am a young traveller trying to see as much of the world as I can. I love travel and I want to make the most of each place while balancing limited time off and budget as someone early in their career. I would describe my travel style as a mix between going out and exploring on my own terms and leveraging tours and guides for activities that would require expert advice/guidance. My goal while creating itineraries here, is to make the most of each trip possible. I share the things I kept in mind while planning and packing for the trip as well as things I wish I knew before I got there. My guides are filled with places and activities that I would 11/10 recommend and the logistics to do them. If you are debating whether to buy any of my itineraries, think of them as a starter template for you trip with a lot of options for you to add and subtract based on your preferences. I entered university only a few years after my grandfather's passing, and, with the influence of my Italian professor, I took the leap to live and study in Rome. Ever since then, I have dedicated the last seven years of my life to perfecting my language skills, traveling to almost every Italian region, and reconnecting with my roots in an even more sentimental way than I had ever imagined possible. That said, I like the finer things in life. Still, I also enjoy venturing into uncharted territory beyond my comfort zone to discover the essence of any cultural context I find myself in. However, I did not fully take the dive into pursuing this passion as a full-time vocation until April 2024, when I sold my previous business venture as an exit plan and entered a new stage of my life. I would love to dedicate my time to a venture that truly inspires me every day! Hello! My name is Trent Gertz and I am 21 years old, graduating from Boise State University this May of 2024. I recently moved back to the United States after living abroad in Turin, Italy for 1 year. While abroad I discovered my passion for travel while visiting 26 different countries and 45+ breathtaking cities. I had many early wakeup calls that would start a new adventure when the alarm went off, whether it was hopping on a train, plane, bus, or locals offering rides. I have gained so much knowledge through the weekly journeys, whether that be culture, costs, transportation, dining, or housing accommodations. I feel that through all the speedbumps that each trip threw at me I now can confidently say I can effectively plan and travel all through Europe no matter the circumstances. I quickly pivoted to slow travel and now spend 1-3 months in each destination I visit.
