Sivan Bokobza
Lives in Marseille, France
Hi there, I am Sivan, a vegan & imperfect sustainable traveller. I like to visit off the tourist trail destinations, or if I do visit more popular destinations I like to do so as responsibly & sustainably as possible. I grew up in the Netherlands, lived in the UK for 16 years, and have lived in Marseille, France, for the last 4 years. I’ve also travelled to around 50 countries all around the world, and have meticulously planned all of them myself. Trip planning, is something I enjoy doing for myself, as well as for my family and friends, and is something I pride myself in. I do hours and hours of research making sure I find the best locally owned accomodation and immersive cultural experiences, to ensure I leave as much of a positive impact on my travels as I can. I mostly travel solo & once I get to my destination, I rely on public transport and overland travel as opposed to flying, where possible. Learning about the local culture & supporting local economies is important to me so I try and stay at either locally-owned guesthouses, homestays, or sustainable boutique hotels, and avoid big chain hotels or Airbnb. I also love looking for local vegan food wherever I go. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, make sure to follow along on Instagram @sivan_travelsgreen, and check out my detailed sustainable & vegan-friendly guides and itineraries here on Thatch, with a focus on ways in which you can support the local community of the places you’re travelling to. All the places mentioned in my guide, are places I have been to before, and all the itineraries I've tried and tested myself. If you need something more personalised/any tips or advice on a specific location, then we can get on a consultation call to see what I can do for you!

Josefina Ginevra
Lives in Geneva, Suiza
Hello, I'm Josefina, an Argentinian now living in Geneva, Switzerland (fun fact: my last name is Ginevra, which is the translation to Geneva in Italian). My journey from a career in psychology to becoming a travel planner has been quite an adventure, just like the trips I craft. When I relocated to Geneva with my husband, I faced the challenge of finding a job in a new country with a different language. This shift in my life opened the door to another passion of mine: travel. Throughout my time in Europe, I've explored well-known destinations and uncovered hidden gems, many of which are right here in this beautiful country I now call home. Travel has always held a special place in my heart. Even as a teenager, I enjoyed creating travel plans, but I never realized it could become more than just a hobby. It was the feedback from my trips with family and friends that inspired me. They marveled at how well everything was organized, from hotel choices to dining experiences and the unique places we visited. Their encouragement led me to consider a career in travel planning, but I wasn't sure how to make it happen until I discovered this platform. Thanks to Thatch, I'm now pursuing my dreams by crafting comprehensive guides and itineraries and offering my services as a travel planner. I invite you to explore my guides and see how I work. If you ever desire a personalized Eurotrip plan, don't hesitate to reach out. I'll plan your journey as if it were my own, taking into account your preferences, budget, and needs. Let's transform your travel dreams into reality!

Karen Kandelman
Lives in London, UK
My name is Karen Kandelman, and I've had the incredible privilege of living in six diverse countries, traversing through fifty others, and immersing myself in the vibrant tapestry of human existence. I am originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil but have been living in London for 7 years now. From an early age, I was captivated by the beauty of diversity, drawn to the melodies of languages as varied as the landscapes they belong to. My linguistic odyssey began with Portuguese, my mother tongue, and expanded to include Spanish, English, French, and Dutch. These languages are not just a means of communication for me; they're windows into the hearts and minds of people from every corner of the Earth. My journey has taken me through bustling city streets and serene countryside, from the sun-soaked beaches of Brazil to the snow-capped peaks of the Alps. With every border crossed, I've embraced the local flavors that tell stories of heritage and tradition. Food, after all, is the world's most accessible work of art, a masterpiece that captures the essence of a culture with each delectable bite. Whether savoring a rich and hearty bouillabaisse in Marseille, indulging in the intricate spices of Indian cuisine, or relishing the delicate nuances of sushi in Tokyo, I've found my sense of wonder through the world's kitchens. But my exploration doesn't end with food; it extends to the world of art as well. Museums, galleries, and street art have been my guides to understanding the soul of each place I've visited. From the classical brushstrokes of the Louvre to the vibrant murals of Mexico City's neighborhoods, art has revealed the aspirations, struggles, and dreams of humanity throughout time. Through my experiences, I've come to understand that the essence of a place is not solely in its landmarks, but in the stories of its people. The elderly street vendor sharing tales of their family's recipes, the street artist pouring their heart onto the canvas of the city walls – these are the true narrators of a locale's spirit. As I continue this lifelong adventure of exploration, my goal is to bridge the gap between cultures, languages, and traditions. I aim to bring the world closer together, one plate and one canvas at a time. Through the lens of food and art, I hope to inspire others to embark on their own journeys of discovery, embracing the rich diversity that makes our planet an exquisite masterpiece. So, let's embark on this adventure together. As I share my stories, experiences, and musings, may we find common ground in our shared humanity and celebrate the kaleidoscope of life that surrounds us. Here's to the thrill of discovery, the joy of a new taste, and the beauty that is inherent in our world's every corner.
