The Lavender Travelers
Lives in Melbourne VIC, Australia
Welcome to the world of The Lavender Travelers! We're Jess & Julia - a Brit and an American living in 🇦🇺 Australia. Armed with a wealth of experience in both personal travel and trip curation, we pride ourselves on crafting guides and experiences that are as unique as they are unforgettable. As queer, 30-year-old budget travelers, we understand the importance of making every penny count while still enjoying the finer things in life. Our passion for sharing amazing local food, finding top wallet-friendly accommodation, and curating authentic experiences drives every aspect of our travel planning. Our guides reflect our current stage of life. Gone are the days of wild parties for us; instead, we embrace the motto of early to bed, early to rise (with the occasional late night thrown in still 😉). We love nothing more than people watching in a café with a morning coffee, exploring in the afternoon, then hitting the night market in the evening. We plan trips for all sorts of people, but we’re particularly passionate about connecting with those who love good food, are culturally curious, and are seeking immersive experiences that transcend the typical backpacker party scene. So whether you're yearning to wander through historic cobblestone streets or lose yourself in the vibrant colors of a bustling market, let The Lavender Travelers be your compass. With us, the world is yours to explore – authentically, passionately, and unapologetically 🏳️‍🌈.

Roaming Graciously
Lives in Bra, Province of Cuneo, Italy
I'm Sara, a roaming ‘gastronome’ (it’s true, I hold a Master’s Degree in Gastronomy). I am on a consent quest for unique inspiring food and beverages while celebrating the producers that make them, learning as much as possible about the cultures and regions I visit. Have a soft spot for well-crafted… well, anything --.Hailing from Australia, but currently savouring life in Northern Italy (a particularly good launch pad, in my opinion), I've mastered the art of blending philosophy with a fork. My travel philosophy? Didactic adventures. In my world, an ideal day in a new city involves coffee, bakery treats, bikes, a leisurely lunch, art exploration, bar-hopping, and perhaps a dip in a local pool (yes, I've got a list for that) local food. I have a little something to suit everyone and am versatile and adaptable when it comes to travel budgets, be it my own or others. You can find me anywhere from luxury to real-life affordability. In the rare weeks when my suitcase is stashed, I'm busy planning the next trip to visit a producer I have longed to meet, cooking or scouring antique markets for treasures (mainly spoons). If you haven’t found me in one of these activities, it is because I am tapped into academics; either developing my thesis research on the social culture of coffee or absorbing other academic papers that pique my interest. On Thatch, I'm not just your guide; I'm your culinary confidante. I am here to spice up your journeys with humour and flavour while helping you build memorable experiences of your own. These curated didactic adventures, are tried and true. Each one is bursting with expert tips and itineraries, all backed by real-world experiences and connections with Gastronomes around the globe. So, pull out your suitcase and pack your bags. You’ve just met a seasoned explorer who lives for food adventures, uncover hidden gems and forge new cross-cultural connections, together. Ready for a flavourful journey? Join me! Your Gastronome - Sara.

Dancing Geologist
Lives in Las Vegas, NV, USA
Hi! I'm Zakiya, the Dancing Geologist! Yes, I do rock to the beat! My travel journey started when I was a kid and my family would travel to Vegas, what seemed like once a month but was probably once a year! Ever since then I have made it a personal tradition of mine to go to Vegas at least once a year (for my birthday)! Every year I find something new to do and try, it is definitely a city that is constantly changing, yet keeps a few of those all time favorites. Whenever I travel or plan an event I would always make itineraries so that I don't waste any time on my trips! You must be thinking, but that is SOOO MUCH WORK!! Yes! Yes it is, but I love it! Being able to put in the work beforehand and just enjoy my trip, takes out all the stress and hassel of traveling. I want to share that with you! :) What I Provide (Vegas Baby!): 1. Guides 2. Custom Travel Itineraries 3. Personalized Recommendations 4. Phone/Video Consultations Why Should you Pick me? - VEGAS! VEGAS! VEGAS! I've been to Vegas more times than I can count! - I've gone to vegas for several of my birthdays and planned my 21st & 30th Birthdays extra special. - I always find something new to do in Vegas as well as sticking to a few of my old time favorites. - I have traveled to over 12 countries (and ~20 States) and planned all my trips (even some for my family!).        🇬🇧 U.K.  🇮🇹 Italy  🇫🇷 France  🇸🇰 Slovakia  🇷🇴Romania  🇦🇹 Austria         🇩🇪 Germany 🇪🇸 Spain  🇲🇦 Morocco   🇨🇿 Czech Republic         🇭🇺 Hungary  🇨🇦 Canada 🇵🇭 Philippines 🇲🇽 Mexico  🇩🇰 Denmark - I have planned a wedding abroad (New Zealand), 2 bachelorette weekends abroad (New Zealand & Copenhagen), a month long "Taste of Europe" trip and more! - The most important reason is because I LOVE PLANNING!!! Kayla Fedeson
Lives in New York, NY, USA
Hey there, I'm Kayla! I have lived in New York City for over 10 years and have been traveling the world for more than 15. Through solo travels, those with friends, and group tours, I know firsthand what places you need to see on a trip, as well as those that you should see and may have never heard of. I am a history nerd, nature junkie, and huge sports fan, so my ideal trip combines all three of these things. I love ancient sites and exploring as many around the world as I can, am trying to go to all 400+ United States National Park Sites and all 30 MLB stadiums, and travel every four years for the Women's World Cup. If you are looking for guidance on where to take a short break, longer break, or adventure, I am your go-to. I can make recommendations on where you should look, tell you all of the things you can do in your destination, as well as the things you cannot miss. As I develop this page further, I want to be a resource full of fun facts and personalized recommendations on what you should do and where you should go. I have traveled to 34 US states, plus DC and Puerto Rico, and 38 countries. I've been giving friends my extensive travel guides for free for years, so now it's my turn to share with you. Living off a credit card and minimum wage for the first year in NYC with a ton of curiosity, I had to find ways to do everything on the cheap. I went to pay-what-you-wish nights at museums, found free things to do, and still very rarely do I pay full price for a Broadway show (and if I do, I know how to save at least $10). I can tell you about a lot of fun expensive things, but if you are looking to travel on more of a budget (it's a cruel world out there), I can help with that too. Travel is my passion, but I love rock climbing, softball, running, & reading too.
