Originally from LA, I've solo traveled to 56 countries at 27 years old. Most of my travels have revolved around South East Asia, Central America, Europe, Australia, and South America. I specialize in budget backpacking and slow travel. I focus my recommendations on adventure activities, nature, cultural experiences, local food, and nightlife. I've had tons of crazy experiences along my journey that has shaped me into the confident backpacker I am today. I want every person (but women especially!) to feel the joy and freedom that comes from solo traveling. I'll tell you the good, the bad, and the ugly. I've made tons of mistakes traveling; I've lost my debit card, had medical emergencies, stolen iPhones, and the occasional mental breakdown...or two. Traveling is not always picture perfect so I want to show you all the nitty gritty details to make sure you are THE most prepared for your backpacking adventure.

During the last 7 years I have been traveling around the world and trying to find my way to live traveling. The first 3 years I hitchhiked around South America discovering my own country Peru and visiting Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Colombia and Ecuador. After South America, 4 years ago I started my travels in Europe and Africa. I have been in Spain, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, UK, Turkey, Poland and Morocco. I travel slow, I like to just get inmerse into a daily life as a local so I am the kind of nomad that spend months in one country or city or decide to move for a while in a new country and come back many times and see how a place has changed, how new people and new times in life can bring me new experiences in the same place. I volunteer while traveling mainly in hostels, I also use couchsurfing hosting or as a guest, sometimes wildcamping, sometimes I travel hitchiking, sometimes renting a car or with plane, train or buses. During this years traveling I lived in Cusco, Peru for 1 year and also in Cordoba, Argentina and lately in Istanbul, Turkiye. Planning my next destination and happy to help you plan yours!

Hi there lovely souls! My name is Ann-Sofie (but everybody calls me Anso), I would describe myself as an easy-going, adventurous and spontaneous human being. I am 26 years old and I live with my boyfriend and two dogs in Belgium. In our spare time we are always exited to explore parts of this wonderful globe, with and without the dogs :'). We love exploring Europe with our rooftop tent and recently we've been to our first Asia trip to the Philippines. My travel journey started back in January 2022 where I did my first solo trip to Portugal. After that trip, it felt like something changed. I felt totally recharged. Now I remind myself to that feeling and I continue to book these solo trips now and then. You learn SO much about yourself, about your values and beliefs, your strengths and weaknesses. It's a never ending journey. Whenever I travel, I prefer exploring off the beaten tracks and to spend as much time as possible in nature (beaches, mountains, the ocean, hiking ...) but I also enjoy local authentic villages. I love to try new things, but I always need to push myself a bit. On the other side I also love to take some deep inner rest and to focus on my wellbeing. Other than that, we love sharing a glimpse of our life. For me, travelling will always be a way to get out of my comfort zone.
