Kurukahveci Mehmet Efendi

"🌟 In 1871, Kurukahveci Mehmet Efendi changed the coffee game in Istanbul by selling pre-roasted & ground coffee beans (previously, only raw coffee beans were sold).
🇹🇷 The family-run company is one of the oldest businesses in Türkiye.
😋 It’s located just outside the Egyptian Spice Bazaar, but you can also buy their coffee in grocery stores.
☕ Turkish Coffee is finely ground and then prepared in a cezve over hot sand. The ground beans are mixed with water and sugar and set to brew.
🔮 It’s served in small cups, with the coffee grounds settling to the bottom. After drinking, you can turn the cup over and read your fortune in the coffee grounds.
⏰ HOURS: Open daily, 8 am to 7:30 pm.

"FAMOUS Coffee Roasters, even locals line up DAILY. Noted this one underneath "shopping" as this is a place to buy coffee beans/grounds specifically. Very affordable!"

"Kurukahveci is the best Turkish coffee in Istanbul. This historic coffee shop is famous for its rich, aromatic brews."
