Diamante

"The seaside village of Diamante is located on the Tyrrhenian coast, north-western Calabria. It has one of the only two islands in Calabria, the island of Cirella, a small islet with a shape suggestive and with wild flora where the seabed is splendid and the silver Posidonia reigns. What portrays Diamante like a postcard is the famous Lungomare Vecchio, above the cliff in front of the port, which, impressive and with attention to detail, hosts thousands of people every summer. A major tourist attraction is the "Chili Pepper Festival", a cultural and gastronomic event that takes place every year in September starting in 1992. Diamante is also known as the village of murals, with numerous paintings that can be admired while walking through the alleys of the historic center initially and which later spread to a larger part of the village."
