"Braga is one of the most important and largest cities in Portugal. It is a very charming city and one of the best destinations for a day trip from Porto. Don't miss the visit to the Santuario do Bom Jesus do Monte,
a religious place that attracts millions of faithful every year.
📍Distance: 51 km
👣How to get there: if you decide to reach Braga independently I recommend taking the train from Sao Bento station in Porto which will take you to your destination in an hour. Ticket price is around £3.
🎟️Ticket cost: the price depends on the visits you decide to make once you arrive in Braga.
If you prefer to take part in an organized tour I recommend this day excursion to Braga and Guimarães which leaves from Porto. (see the link for prices and programme) "

"Known for the medieval Braga Cathedral with a sacred art museum as well as its religious heritage. It's also a college town (University of Minho) and has small cafés and charming restaurants.
