"A beautiful area in one valley over from Ísafjörður, it holds local farms and one of Icelands very few white sand beaches with dunes and beach grasses. It's pristine, clean, and usually very quiet. There is a dock here for gorgeous pictures, but is mainly used in the winter for avalanche rescue for the neighboring town of Flateyri. Be sure to pick up any trash you see because the prized Eider nests here along with other water fowl. There is also a sandcastle building competition on the sandy spit in the summertime. If you walk to the very end, there is some quick sand, so watch your step. "

"My favorite spot in the Westfjords. A beautiful pier next to a white sand white (quite rare in Iceland). You can park your car right next to the pier, and enjoy the view. "
