Originally I scheduled the hop-on-hop-off bus tour to take me around the city but they were disorganized and the schedule was unreliable so I chose to Uber to a few places on my list. It was more economical and I enjoyed walking around a few districts in Sydney. I had a full day of shopping/eating/animal watching and sightseeing. Plenty of varied activities in this guide. Tips if you are arriving via cruise.

3 Amazing Days in Sydney

Nestled at the heart of Sydney, Circular Quay is a bustling waterfront precinct where ferries glide across the harbor and the iconic Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge create a breathtaking backdrop. Stroll along the promenade, enjoy street performers, and embark on ferry journeys to explore Sydney's landmarks, making Circular Quay a vibrant hub connecting the city's history and modern allure.

Circular Quay is the perfect starting point to visit Sydney and all the places around it.  The harbor that hosts Circular Quay is a busy ferry port, with boats coming and going all around Sydney Harbour. It is also where many tourist attractions are located, such as the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Royal Botanic Gardens. 

If you arrive via ship you dock here. It's a great neighborhood to walk, full of restaurants, museums, very cool shops, and of course currency exchange and lots of ice cream shops. My suggestion is to end your day in this neighborhood and then you are walking distance back to your ship. 

Circular Quay is a harbour and former working port by the Rocks. You'll find many shops and dinning experiences.

A great walk with tons of shops and restaurants, as well as great people watching.

Beautiful, full of life and the best conmute center in the world
