"These five caves house numerous Buddha statues in various poses, adorned with frescoes depicting the life of Buddha. Tickets are available at the base of the steps for 2000 rupees. A long staircase, mostly exposed to the sun, leads up from the ticket office. Watch out for monkeys, as they may try to take unattended items. Shoes must be removed before entering the temple; a deposit is available for 50 rupees. Remember to cover shoulders and knees as this is a sacred site.
