Yala National Park Sri Lanka

Yala National Park is the premier wildlife destination in Sri Lanka, home to a diverse range of animals, including leopards. However, due to its vastness, spotting them isn't always straightforward. During poor weather conditions in the west, I recommend heading east for safaris, such as the one I'll describe shortly.

Yala is one of the well known wildlife santuaries in the island. It is a home to leopards, elephants, deer, wild boar and many more wild animals. A safari ride at Yala National Park is an exciting activity for anyone who loves wildlife or simply an adventure. This activity is only ideal for groups of 4 or more.  

Yala is a bit more pricey because you have the chance to see a leopard on the safari. The park is more popular and therefore more crowded so I personally went with Udawalawe but depending on your route Yala might be more convenient. 

You can either do a morning safari or all day safari! I suggest an all day just to make sure you have the chance to see everything!
