What people say

"Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art in Seoul features both traditional and modern artworks by Korean and international artists. Designed by renowned architects Mario Botta, Jean Nouvel, and Rem Koolhaas, the museum itself is an architectural marvel. Museum 1 showcases traditional Korean art, including calligraphy, ceramics, and metal craftwork, while Museum 2 exhibits modern and contemporary art. Visitors can enjoy free English tours on weekends and audio guides available at the ticket office. You may enter without reservation after getting paper tickets at the information desk in the lobby. Please note that on-site tickets may require a wait due to capacity regulations so it's recommended to reserve your slot online. The parking lot is not large enough. We recommend using public transportation."

"Calling all art lovers. Visit Leeum to see a collection of traditional Korean art to contemporary art. This museum is actually two different museums in one. Museum 1 displays several types of traditional Korean art on display, from paintings to ceramics. Museum 2, on the other hand, focuses on modern and contemporary art. The art is from both Korean artists and foreign collaborators as well. In addition to the regular exhibitions, there are also special ‘featured’ exhibitions on display, changing every three months. If you’re interested in experiencing the arts or just looking at some beautiful displays, this is the place."
"The Leeum Museum of Art is the perfect place to enjoy traditional and contemporary art created by Korean and international artists. Most of the exhibits on display at the museum are based on the large collection of the founder, the late Lee Byeong-cheol, once president of the Samsung Group. It operates under a reservation system. Reservations can be made 14 days before the visit. (website below)"
