"Moustiers-Sainte-Marie is a picturesque village in Provence, France, renowned for its breathtaking location nestled between dramatic cliffs and its rich history of pottery. The village is highlighted by the stunning Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Beauvoir, perched on a cliff overlooking the town. Moreover, adding to its charm, a golden star hangs between two cliffs high above, symbolizing the village’s unique heritage and adding an enchanting touch to the landscape. Moustiers-Sainte-Marie is my personal favorite village in Provence. I love exploring the local market stands and small shops that line the streets, offering a delightful array of handmade crafts and local produce. The golden star above adds a magical touch to the village, making my visit feel special."
"Moustiers-Ste.-Marie is only 10 minutes away by car from the Gorges du Verdon! Making it the perfect spot to end your evening. The town is built into the mountains with a church sitting at the very top! There is a river running through the centre of town making it even more picturesque. Hanging over the city there is a star. Legend has it, that a Knight from the Crusades was captured and throughout his captivity, he clung to his faith for guidance. Once he was released, he then placed a star over the church and the town as a symbol of thanks to the Virgin Mary for his survival. "

"This "beautiful village", as designated by the French government, really is as gorgeous as they say. The village is perched on a mountain side so you get this spectacular view of the Provence countryside."
