"Koko Head is a difficult hike- not gonna candy coat it but SO worth it! You will be hiking up a very step train track located on a tuff cone. The hike is only 1.5 miles but with the steep incline it feels longer with 1,048 step! Buuttt the views of the south shore are incredible! Plus it is a great workout. "

"There are just stairs, a lot of stairs! It’s a good workout with a nice view. Also i wouldn’t recommend it during lunch time. The sun is burning and there is no shade. I did it twice for sunrise, even with clouds it looks phantastic! "

"Personally I think this climb is mad, but hikers love it. It is over 1000 steps made from abandoned railroad tracks!"
