"Founded in 1288, the lay order of the Oblate Hospitallers was dedicated to caring for the sick. In the vast religious and hospital complex with simple fifteenth-century architecture, which has passed down the name of the Oblates, is located the Oblate Library, enriched with the exceptional heritage of the historic Central Municipal Library.
Among the most valuable areas of the complex is the elegant cloister, the only one in Florence with three floors, on top of which is a panoramic terrace."
