"A major place of the alternative district of Friedrichshain. Raw-Gelände is a vast cultural center located on an industrial zone gathering art galleries, tattoo shops, skateparks, bars, sport classes, clubs to rythm your nights and even a flee market every sunday to sober up while making bargains. An excellent first step in your trip to directly immerse yourself in the living and creative lifestyle of Berlin. Explore the premises, make your way along the countless works of street art, refresh yourself on a deckchair at the bar Urban Spree at the entry, or put a 2 € coin in the Teledisko, the green booth you'll find on the spot : this is the smallest nightclub in the world ! Choose your song, close the door and enjoy 5 minutes of intense self-party. There is always something to do or see in RAW-Gelände. For me an absolute must-do : a collaborative space and a place of infinite creativity that everyone can reclaim in its own way. Open 24/7 "
"This is a classic Berlin spot. If you've seen photos of Berlin graffiti, it was probably from the RAW Gelände. What exactly is it? It's so diverse that it's hard to explain! On Sunday, you can find a flea market here (Berlin loves their Sunday flea markets!). During the day, there's a swimming pool, an indoor skate park, a rock climbing wall, an outdoor movie theater, and of course art. Restaurants and food trucks are also scattered about; you could grab some beers and spend a whole day here! As the sun starts to set, RAW Gelände turns into a uniquely Berlin scene. Enjoy bars, clubs, and music on a beautiful night."

"A mishmash of refurbished buildings at the heart of Berlin’s subculture, RAW is a thriving offbeat area offering a variety of bars, event spaces, an indoor skate park, swimming pool and even a flea market on Sundays. Originally founded in 1867 as a train repair station, named (Reichsbahn-Ausbesserungs-Werk - aka RAW), it was transformed into a community hub in the early 2000’s and has continued to grow ever since. Drop by to admire the murals, jump in an iconic Berlin photo booth, experience the smallest club in the city or if you are visiting on a Sunday carry out some thrifting! "
