What people say

Dan Tanda
"Kanda Myojin Shrine was founded in 730, at present a history of almost 1300 years, making it one of Tokyo’s oldest shrines. It is open throughout the year and admission is free, making it a great stop when you’re in the area - and especially if you’re on a night stroll. This shrine hosts one of Japan’s three great festivals, the Kanda Festival. It happens on every odd-numbered year (e.g. 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023, 2025...) around 15 May. They host a massive parade beginning and ending at the shrine, with over 200 mikoshi (portable shrines) as well as hundreds of dancers and musicians."
Veronica Bonansea
"Kanda Myojin Shrine enshrines three deities: Daikokuten - the god of good harvest and matrimony, Ebisu - the god of fishermen and businessmen, and Taira Masakado - a popular rebel lord of the 10th century."
