"A great place to try Ramen if you're vegetarian! They have a few other branches too - this one is inside the JR line gates at Tokyo station, so don’t go out the gates if you arrive via one of the JR train lines, or you’ll have to pay to get back inside top get to the restaurant. Since vegetarianism is not very popular in Japan, you'll almost always see a long line of foreigners here, but that doesn't mean it's not good!"

Saying you’re vegan will go over many people's heads, so if they say that they "can’t serve a vegetarian", they definitely can not serve a vegan.
