"Augustiner Drei Mühlen is perhaps our most popular recommendation to date. We featured this restaurant in our Munich Food Tour video as the place to go for Munich‘s best Schnitzel. It‘s a fan favourite, as we have dozens of comments from tourists thanking us for the recommendation, plus locals praising the spotlight put upon such a wonderful Munich staple. This restaurant is usually full, especially during the winter months when the outdoor seating closes. I would recommend making a reservation, even during the weekdays. This is the problem I encountered just last week (November 2022). Additionally, there are no English menus, but the employees all speak excellent English, and I‘m sure could help guide you on your Schnitzel journey. Schnitzel is Drei Mühlen‘s claim to fame, and here you have quite a selection. As a vegetarian, I am never left out, because I always order the vegan (celery) Schnitzel. Ben usually orders the Schnitzel Trilogie, and gets a little experimental, asking the waiter to substitute the listed Schnitzels for whatever he‘s in the mood for. They have always been accommodating. Although Austrians will insist that Schnitzel should not be doused in sauce, that has never stopped me from covering my Schnitzel in my favourite mushroom cream sauce. However you like you Schnitzel, this restaurant is sure to delight! "
