What people say

"The Koninklijk Paleis is located on Dam Square in the center of Amsterdam. The structure originally housed the City's Town Hall, but was then converted in 1808 by Louis Bonaparte into the Royal Palace. Today the Royal Palace is no longer the official seat of the Dutch monarchy but is used by the royal family only for solemn holidays and state visits. At that time it was the largest administrative building in Europe and the inhabitants of the city were so proud of it that they nicknamed it "the eighth wonder of the world". 👣How to get there: reachable on foot from Anna Frank House (800m, 10min). Tram stop: Dam, lines 4,9,16,24 and 25. 🎟️Ticket cost: full price 12,50£-reduced price 9£.Free entry with Museum Card and under 18. "

"The palace was closed when I visited, but it was nice to view from the exterior! At the time of writing this, it is open to visitors. If you do visit the inside, I would like to note that it may be difficult to do the rest of this itinerary in one day. If you are spending two days in Amsterdam, however, this would probably work well. Prices: Free (0-17), €9-13"

"The Royal Palace Amsterdam is so grand and beautiful, which is definitely worth a visit when you are in Amsterdam. The ticket includes a free audio guide that let visitors know the history and stories behind different rooms, paintings, statues and so on. It is also great to know that the Palace is still in use for some royal occasions to this day. "
