"Put your phone away and just wander for a bit. You will get lost. That's the point. The Ramble is one of the best places in Central Park to forget that you're in New York. When you're in the Ramble, you can't hear the City and you can't see the skyscrapers. It feels like you're in a forest in Upstate New York (which is what it was designed to mimic).
Here in the Ramble, you can find a waterfall, pond, and streams, with rustic wooden bridges and even a cave. My favorite part is the Ramble Arch, as well as view of the San Remo (from the Bow Bridge walk straight and then stay to your left, you'll see a little side trail to leads to the edge of the Lake just after the fork in the path). I also love the view of midtown from the Oak Bridge.
The Ramble is also one of the best places to spot lots of birds. My personal favorite are all the cardinals that play in the snow here in the winter.
Fun fact: In the winter, local residents decorate a tree in the Ramble as a Christmas Tree for their pets. All the ornaments are dedicated to beloved pets who have passed on, but clearly not forgotten. Its location is a secret, so please don't tell anybody where it is once you find it.

"Located in the heart of Central Park, this is a woodland area with beautiful winding paths. It's a great place for nature lovers, ideal for birdwatching and the tranquil and peaceful atmoshpere make for a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Stroll alongside the lake and over the picturesque Bow Bridge."

"Wander through the forest within Central Park - because this is a bit more north than midtown, chances are it'll be less crowded and you'll find solace outside the hustle and bustle of the city."
