Every cheesecake is handmade in their original downtown bakery, which has been serving the community for over 45 years. Eileen began her cheesecake journey testing out her time-honoured family recipes with made to order bakes from her apartment. Word spread and locals soon discovered her exquisite creations, which ended up becoming so popular, soon she was opening her own little bakery in Nolita. Her huge personality and elite recipes instantly won over the neighbourhood and she has had a line queuing out the door ever since. Eileen continues to run the bakery with her two daughters by her side to carry on her legacy. With over 25 home-made flavours to choose from you are completely spoilt for choice, but luckily they also bake mini cheesecakes, so ‘fill your boots’ and get sampling. The classic plain, red velvet, salted caramel, blueberry and cherry really are in a league of their own. Light as air and wonderfully creamy with hand-pressed graham cracker crusts, no wonder Eileen’s is still as popular today, as when it first opened. Family and tradition, along with their passion for baking and creating perfection in every cheesecake they create, are what makes this bakery truly special. A quintessential New York institution which Eileen refers to as “our lucky corner” in the heart of downtown."
