"An extension of Stonewall National Monument, Christopher Street Park was historically a place where homeless LGBT youth would spend their time. Be sure to also check out the Virtual Fence exhibit installed by the National Parks Service that includes photographs that visually tell the story of the LGBTQ rights movement. George Segal has an art installation there called, “Gay Liberation” and Stonewall veterans are said to frequent the park as well. If you see park rangers hanging out in the park, don’t be afraid to approach them and ask them questions - they are extremely knowledgeable!"

"Adjacent to Stonewall Inn, Christopher Park is a public space linked to the Stonewall National Monument, marking the 1969 rebellion. Ideal for people-watching, it offers a backdrop for photos with George Segal’s iconic sculpture, 'Gay Liberation,' symbolizing the spirit of the movement."
