"WHERE TO PARK
You can park at Chautauqua Park and take the Baseline Trail to the Gregory Canyon Trailhead.
But the best thing is to park at the Gregory Canyon Trailhead. There are only 6 spots so try to get there early. If they are full, you can park along the road leading up to the Gregory Canyon Trailhead along Gregory Canyon Road.
THE TRAILHEAD
The trailhead is on the south side of the parking lot. As you go up the road to reach the parking loop, the trailhead is directly in front of you. It is not the trail to the left, as that will lead you to Chautauqua Park.
Follow the signs for Gregory Canyon all the way up. You will eventually reach a road at Realization Point. Cross the road and then follow the Ute Trail to reach the peak of Flagstaff.
The actual "summit" is pretty anti-climactic. It's basically just an open meadow. But there are great views along the Ute Trail on the way up/down.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL
This is a fairly easy to moderate hike. There are some steep sections, but nothing unbearable. The trail is even and well-marked.
HIKING TIME
This hike took me about 3 hours from parking lot, up to the peak, and back down to the parking lot."
