I focused on places of interest that not only had formal tactile displays but featured activities that included motion, music and other sounds. American History, Alive in Stone...

Majestic figures of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln, surrounded by the beauty of the Black Hills of South Dakota, tell the story of the birth, growth, development and preservation of this country. From the history of the first inhabitants to the diversity of America today, Mount Rushmore brings visitors face to face with the rich heritage we all share. 

It took about 7.5 hrs to get from Bozeman to Mt. Rushmore. I drove through the night and made it to Mt. Rushmore just in time to catch the sunrise. We had plans to do the Presidential Trail which takes you up closer to the monument, but I opted to sleep in the car. 

I recommend going really early in the morning or in the afternoon to avoid large crowds. There is a $10 parking fee but it is free to enter.
