The smaller the town, the bigger the selection- from everything wine making to various sizes of the classic moka (stovetop coffee pot) to massive cow bells and even gorgeous wool sweaters (especially in the alps)!

Matera is like no other Italian village I’ve ever visited! Referred to as ‘little Jerusalem’ it is one of the longest continually inhabited places on earth. Once thought of as a disgrace, Matera has recently been named European capital of culture & featured in the new James Bond film! I recommend visiting in Spring or Autumn as it gets HOT, especially if you plan to hike!
