What people say

"If you are in San Francisco and are looking for something fun and inexpensive to do with the kids, I have got the place for you. Right at the end of Taylor street at Pier 45 on Fishermans’ Wharf is a unique little family owned museum which is as fun as it is interesting. The Musee Mecanique is an antique coin operated penny arcade. It is home to more than 300 antique mechanical musical instruments, arcade games and other amusements. What truly makes this museum appealing to both the young and old of heart is that you can drop a quarter in any of these machines and experience them in their original working order."
"Musée Mécanique, located at Pier 45 in San Francisco, is a quirky and fascinating museum dedicated to vintage arcade machines and mechanical amusements. This unique collection showcases a variety of antique coin-operated games, fortune tellers, and mechanical curiosities from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Visitors can interact with these historic machines, playing classic games and marveling at the intricate mechanisms. The museum offers a nostalgic glimpse into the entertainment of bygone eras and is a charming stop for both history buffs and those looking for a fun, retro experience."

"This place is an absolute gem. There is an old time film photo booth there that I go to every time I'm in town. So many amazing games. "
