Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park

Designated a National Historic Landmark in 1973, Florida's southernmost state park is popular for recreation as well as U.S. military history.

Take a tour and learn the history of the Fort, or simply opt to head to the beach, which is a local favorite for its beauty

We really enjoyed the history here. The fort was similar to Fort Jefferson at Dry Tortugas but much, much smaller.

Explore the historic fort and enjoy a beautiful beach for swimming and sunbathing.
