"I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cumpari Turiddu restaurant and it was an amazing experience. The atmosphere was authentically Sicilian and the food was absolutely delicious.
The restaurant is part of the Slow Food Foundation, so you can be sure that the dishes are made with fresh, seasonal ingredients from small, local producers. I loved the variety of Mediterranean cuisine on offer, including meat, fish, and pasta dishes.
The outdoor garden setting during the warmer months added to the overall ambiance of the place. Standout dishes for me included the Macco soup with fava larga di Leonforte beans, spaghetti alla Turiddu with Masculina da Magghia anchovies, and paddlefish ‘involtini’ rolls with ‘sweet and sour’ vegetables. And for dessert, the biancomangiare (blancmange) with almonds and sweet cous cous from the Santo Spirito Convent was a real treat. "
