What people say

Stephen Jiroch
"Queenstown is known as the "Adventure Capital of the World," Queenstown offers bungee jumping, skydiving, jet boating, and paragliding among many other adrenaline-pumping activities! The town is surrounded by majestic mountains (like The Remarkables) and is located on the shores of the crystal-clear Lake Wakatipu. Queenstown has a wide range of accommodations, from luxury hotels to budget-friendly hostels and holiday parks. Booking in advance is recommended, especially during peak seasons. Most accommodations will offer shuttles into the Downtown area to help with the congested traffic. PARKING HERE IS TERRIBLE! In Queenstown, large camper vans can only park in the Boundary Street Carpark (we’ll remind you of this again later in the Queenstown section of the itinerary). Large campervans are prohibited from parking in Queenstown and could face an infringement of $40-$60 if parked incorrectly. Smaller campervans such as Jucy or Wicked Campervans are permitted to park in the district as they are of similar size to an ordinary car."
"Queenstown, nicknamed the "Adventure Capital" of New Zealand, lies at the shore of Lake Wakatipu surrounded by impressive mountain ranges. The activity options are endless from skiing during winter season, to bungy jumping, river rafting, sky diving, canyon swings, hiking and mountain biking. There is nothing you can think of that does not exist. It is a popular vacation spot all year around and also offers boutique shopping, fine dining and you can pamper yourself with some amazing spa treatments."

"Queenstown is one of our favourite towns and places in general to date. When you arrive you will see the insane mountain views of the area from your airplane window seat and when you disembark the place. The town is nestled in the mountains and has stunning views of the lake. "

Hike several of the most famous trails in New Zealand with this custom route that combines Great Walks of Rees-Dart and Routeburn with some lesser-known hidden gems like Cascade Saddle, Earnslaw Burn, and Greenstone/Caples. This trek showcases the diverse landscape of New Zealand's South Island, from serene valleys and ancient glaciers to rugged alpine mountain passes and through low altitude temperate rain forests. The route is split into 7 flexible stages that can be done in 7-14 days and is written for those seeking to (wild) camp and who prefer to stay in huts along the way. The route includes some off-trail sections to some of the most secluded and beautiful landscapes of New Zealand, but also provides alternatives to avoid these sections of bushwhacking. This guide includes the route as seen in my YouTube film and provides all the additional information about all the huts along the way, wild camping regulations all along the trek, how to get there, when to go, the weather, and much more.
