"One of the reasons why Schiacciamatta is unique is that they produce their own not-too-salty schiacciata in the in-house oven.
Since the owner lived in Livorno for a long time, this is one of the rare places in Florence where you can find "torta di ceci" [a flat, savory, chickpea flour cake], which makes for a nice gluten-free option.
They also have vegan options."
