"Known locally as New Slain Castle, the original older castle ruins date back to 1597.
Famous author, Bram Stoker is said to have used the castle for the inspiration and the setting of the tale in Count Dracula (1897.
In 2024 the castle will be used for filming Netflix's Frankenstein film.
Entrance is free, and you should park at the carpark at the end of the road. Walk along the pathway to the castle, please be very careful of the cliff edges. "
