Stephanie Johnston
"This is Pakistan’s most extensive and the world’s second-largest salt mine. It's famous for the production of pink Khewra salt, which is often marketed as Himalayan salt.
The Khewra Salt Mines were discovered by the troops of Alexander the Great in 326 BC, but it was only developed during the Mughal era (1526–1761) and later during British rule (1858-1947).
In 2002, the main tunnel of this mine was converted into a tourist attraction and it's definitely worth a visit!"
