"If you are a ‘Gangs of New York’ fan, then you have probably already heard about this inconspicuous, yet busy thoroughfare located in the heart of Chinatown, which is known as one of the deadliest streets in American history! The violent past of this location and its unique characteristic of having a sharp bend in the middle earned it the infamous name of “The Bloody Angle”.
Over 100 years ago the streets of Chinatown were filled with gang activity, with the Hip Sing Tong, Four Brothers and the On Leong Tong favouring Doyers Street for their criminal activities due to its easy access to Chinatown’s tunnel system and its sharp bend, which allowed them to stage surprise attacks on rival gangs and enemies."

"Also Known As Bloody Angle. This street was a haven for Chinese Gang Activity in the early 20th century and was once the location of the most murders per square foot in all of New York City. It’s extremely photogenic and one of my favorite streets in New York."
