Intriguingly it has only recently garnered global attention for its natural beauty but I've been lucky enough to be exploring the hiking trails of Oman since the nineties. With this new influx of tourism, I've noticed the once crumbling ancient villages are being restored to their former glory. However, the quiet mountain trails are also becoming busier than ever - so now is the time to visit! I've typed up and detailed the ultimate Oman roadtrip that fits a 10 day schedule. Of course, I would recommend you take as much time as possible and could spend 2 weeks to a month exploring what this beautiful country has to offer.
