What people say

"Bratislava is beautiful, walkable and compact. You can find information on what to see in pretty much any guide - there aren't that many sights. You can easily cover all the main ones in one day, unless you spend time in museums or galleries. Ideas for trips outside of the city centre: - Devin Castle - unlike Bratislava Castle, this is more of a ruin, but it has been preserved, and restored and is definitely worth a visit (you will get amazing views too). To note, there is an entry fee. - Take a boat to Vienna along Danube. This is a fun, albeit more pricey day trip. - Schloss Hof - this beautiful palace is actually located in Austria, but you can easily get there from Bratislava - have you ever crossed a border to another country by simply walking across a bridge? It's mindblowing! Make sure to check out the official website for info on special events. Also make sure to get there early in the morning to give yourself plenty of time to explore - the palace has vast grounds which have been turned into an educational and interactive experience, so you can easily spend a full day there. "The closest day-trip location to Vienna, making it the easiest and most affordable. Public transportation on both trains and buses are an option to keep costs low. Popular sights include the Blue Church and Michael's Gate. Spend your time exploring Old Town and its many restaurants and bars. Just remember that most places here are cash only! If you want to spend the extra money for a small group tour (which I recommend based on my experience of attempting this day trip on my own), check out the link below! Having a guide and guaranteed transportation is well worth the money."
"Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia and is only 57 km from Vienna. In fact, being close to the border, it is really very easy to reach it. Being very small, it is possible to visit it in a weekend. 📍Distance: 57km 👣How to get there:it can be reached in just over an hour by direct train from Vienna Central Station to Bratislava Petralka station, where you will have to take bus 93 which will take you to the center of Bratislava.
