The Roman Baths

Bath is renowned for its well-preserved Roman Baths, which were built around natural hot springs. These ancient baths were used for bathing and socializing, and they provide a fascinating glimpse into Roman life and architecture.

What's cool is that they have these audio guides that you can pick up and  the explain in details all about the Roman Bath. There is also an interactive area where you can actually dip your fingers into the thermal water!

A remarkably well-preserved site, the Roman Baths offer an insight into the ancient Roman lifestyle and their sophisticated bathing practices. The museum features a range of artifacts and provides an immersive experience with projections and audio guides. Visitors can explore the baths themselves, including the Great Bath, which still flows with natural hot spring water.

Explore the well-preserved bathhouse ruins, marvel at the intricate architecture, and discover the significance of the sacred thermal springs that have been a source of fascination for centuries.

Tickets £28 (Weekends) / £26 (Weekdays) - pre-booking advised. 

They were built in 70 AD and are some of the best-preserved Roman ruins. Visits take about 1.5-2 hours and include the ruins and a museum explaining the site's history in Roman times. Free audioguides are available, and I recommend booking in advance. 

The Roman Baths are well-preserved ancient Roman thermae. The site dates back to the first few decades of Roman Britain, 60 and 70 AD.

You can tour the Roman structures and even try drinking some of the water at the end of the tour!

Once the site of one of the great religious spas of the ancient world; the people of Roman Britain came to the site to worship the goddess Sulis Minerva and bathe in the waters of the natural thermal springs

Making use of the natural hot springs, these Roman Baths were constructed between 60 and 70 AD. Currently it stands as a well preserved museum, detailing the history of the spa experience.
