Alamillo Park

"The Alamillo Park is located in the northern area of ​​the Isla de la Cartuja, on the outskirts of the city of Seville, after crossing the Guadalquivir River by the Alamillo Bridge. This large green lung allows you to carry out and enjoy numerous outdoor sports and leisure activities in contact with nature. It is a very popular area and is visited on weekends by the people of Seville to spend a pleasant time with their family, walk, rest or play with the children away from vehicles. The Alamillo Park occupies 120 hectares, which were recovered for the city on the occasion of the celebration of Expo'92. It was inaugurated in 1993 and in it we find the following spaces: The Cortijo del Alamillo is the nerve centre of the park. Inside, the Cortijo has a large function room with capacity for more than 150 people, which can be used by groups that request it and meet the established requirements. The building also has several work and exhibition rooms, and is the workplace of the park's technical and management team, which offers assistance and information to all those who request it. All these rooms are located around a large courtyard, which offers possibilities as a stage for activities of different kinds, such as theatre, cinema, workshops, music... The courtyard is the venue, every year, for the main events held by the park itself, such as the Veranillos del Alamillo, the Day of Andalusia, etc."
