"9.2 - HOLY MOLY...it's been a few years since we've been to one of the top rated pizza spots in NYC, but we were in the area and the line was relatively short so we decided to pop in, and it's even better than I remember. Super simple menu of mostly basic pizza pies (NO SLICES) and some apps/salads, and that's about it! But this pizza is next level! No reservations and you just wait on the line until you're up, and the inside is no frills classic pizza joint. MUST GO whether you're a tourist or a local. Even if you only have a few days in this wonderful city, we recommend tossing John's on your list. "

"Not to be confused with Bleecker Street Pizza, although they're practically neighbors. John's only serves pies, and is a destination for a nice sit-down meal. It's a family-joint that opened in 1929. They serve out fresh pizza's from their Coal Oven, and it has such a unique crispy flavor. You can customize the pies however you like them. I'm a sucker for their sausage or roasted tomato. There are no reservations and expect a wait during busy times. A village institution."

"John's of Bleecker is my favorite classic NY pizza, and since it's been in business for almost 100 years, it's clear that a few other people feel the same way. Unlike most NY pizza places, John's doesn't sell pizza by the slice, so the only way to get it is by standing in line and grabbing a seat at one of the old wooden booths inside. Check it out when you don't have a reservation one night in Greenwich Village."
