"The Kaunas Evangelical Lutheran Church, also known as the Church of the Holy Trinity, is a Lutheran church located in the Old Town of Kaunas, Lithuania. It is one of the oldest Lutheran churches in Kaunas, having been built in 1683. The church is a Baroque building with a Gothic spire. The church was built for the German Lutheran community of Kaunas. The German community was a significant part of Kaunas's population in the 17th and 18th centuries, and they played an important role in the city's economic and cultural life. The church was closed by the Soviet authorities in 1953, and it was used as a concert hall and lecture hall. The church was returned to the Lutheran community in 1989, and it has been restored to its original condition."
