What people say

"The Dubai Fountains are a remarkable choreographed fountain system situated on the 12-hectare artificial Burj Khalifa Lake in Downtown Dubai. Designed by WET Design, the California-based company responsible for the Bellagio Fountains in Las Vegas, the fountains stretch 275 meters (902 feet) and can shoot water as high as 500 feet (152.4 meters). The display is enhanced by 6,600 lights and 25 colored projectors, and it is accompanied by a diverse range of music, from classical to contemporary Arabic and international tunes. The Dubai Fountain project cost AED 800 million (USD $218 million) to build. Officially inaugurated on 8 May 2009, alongside the opening of The Dubai Mall, the fountain was named through a contest held by Emaar Properties. The fountain can spray up to 22,000 gallons (83,000 liters) of water at any given time. It consists of five concentric circles and two arcs, and has been designed to produce various patterns of water projection. In addition to its water jets, the fountain features high-pressure jets such as Shooters, Super Shooters, and Extreme Shooters, which propel water up to 240 feet and even 500 feet into the air. A temporary fire element was introduced in 2010, adding dramatic effects to the New Year's celebrations. The Dubai Fountain offers daily performances that are visible from the lake promenade and nearby buildings. Shows take place every 30 minutes from 6 pm to 10 pm on weekdays, and until 11 pm on weekends. The performances are set to music and can be viewed from various vantage points around the lake. The music selection is carefully curated, blending classical, pop, and traditional Arabic music, reflecting Dubai's cosmopolitan identity. Over 48 pieces have been chosen for the fountain's performances, including iconic tracks such as "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston. Additionally, the fountains have been part of significant events, including the 2020 Expo logo launch, where they performed to an emotional rendition of "I Will Always Love You.""

"The Dubai Fountains are located right outside of Dubai Mall, so you can hit these two places in the same day. The best time to visit is at sunset or in the evening. The shows happen every 30 minutes, alongside the Burj Khalifa light shows. Definitely do not miss this! "
"Watch the world's largest choreographed fountain show at the base of the Burj Khalifa. The Dubai Fountain shoots water jets as high as 500 feet (152 meters) in the air, all synchronized to music and lights. It's a truly mesmerizing spectacle that's free to watch."
