Richelieu Rock

"Arguably the most beautiful dive site in Thailand. Richelieu Rock is a submerged pinnacle that rises dramatically from the depths of the Andaman Sea. At low tide, parts of the rock just break the surface, revealing its jagged, rocky structure. The site descends to a depth of about 35 meters. The pinnacle is covered in soft corals and anemones, creating a vibrant and colorful underwater landscape. The variety of coral species here is extraordinary, contributing to the site's reputation as a diver's paradise. It is famous for its frequent sightings of whale sharks, particularly during their migration seasons. Manta rays are also commonly seen. Large schools of pelagic fish, including barracudas, jacks, and trevallies, are a common sight. The reef is also home to numerous species of reef fish like snappers, fusiliers, and batfish.
