While it seems strange that we are telling you to look East while the sun sets in the West, just go with it.
The colors of the sky here are INCREDIBLE! And with the insane view of the Canyon, it really doesn't get any better!
Make sure to get there a little before sunset, as it does tend to attract large numbers of people.
When you make it to the point, grab a spot and wait. You might be thinking the sun is done setting and want to leave, but that is when the real beauty begins!
Mather Point is approximately a 5 minute walk for the Visitors Center. Public parking is available. "
