"You can stay in Wānaka again if you want to break up the drive and if you enjoyed the area, but we decided to put in some extra distance and see Lake Hawea. After a lengthy drive, you will arrive at The Camp -- Lake Hawea Holiday Park.
If you are lucky you will find a nice camp spot with lake views like we did! This campsite has decent showers and bathrooms. Book the tent campsites which are also for unpowered vans. Or, if you have a powered van, you can get a powered site.
Cost per night for tent spot: 23 NZD per person "

"Stay in the glamping tent, heater is great and there is a fire too. There is also a food truck on site serving up breakfast bagels and coffee. "
