"This little island is super popular with backpackers because it's less expensive than some of the larger islands in the country and has a more relaxed atmosphere. It’s also an amazing place to see the Caye Caulker Forest Reserve ecosystem which is filled with rare tropical plants and marine life. What draws most here is that Caye Caulker is also a great place to snorkel with sea turtles and nurse sharks, SCUBA dive the Belize Barrier Reef or the Blue Hole, or swim with manatees. "Caye Caulker is a backpacker hub. If you want to lay at the beach or hit some fantastic snorkeling/diving spots like Ho Chan Marine Reserve this is definitely the spot! There are tons of sharks here and the water is crystal clear! But be aware the entrance fee to the reserve is $80 USD."
