Nally Preseault
"From Dyrhólaey, your focus is, without a doubt, the view of Reynisfjara (the famous black-sand beach) and Reynisdrangar (the basalt sea stacks just offshore). It's breathtaking. After a few minutes--okay, maybe more than a few--you'll be able to step back to take in the full panoramic view. That's when you'll notice that there are other rocks in the sea. Arnardrangur (Eagle Rock) stands much closer to Dyrhólaey. So it's understandable if you didn't see it at first. The massive basalt rock got its name from the eagles that used to nest atop it. It's now another dramatic feature along the Iceland's south coast."
