"1) Old Town One of the best preserved medieval old towns in the Adriatic. It is surrounded by bulwarks and you can enter via one of the three main doors. There are several squares with Trg od Oruzja being the main one, where most gatherings happens. 2) Fort of St John There are 1350 steps to the top so you better fill up with some pastries and chocolates beforehand. During open season there is an entrance fee: €8. It is not recommend to climb up during rainy weather as the steps are made of stones that become very slippery when wet. Kotor does not get much sunshine during winter so you better plan your hike in the late morning. 3) Vrmac It is a mountain that overlooks Tivat on one side and Kotor on the other. The highest peak is Sveti Ilija at 785m. But the best part is the Vrmac Fortress, especially if you like a bit of history and spooky experience. I would recommend bringing torch because even during a sunny day the rooms inside will be pitch black. "

"Kotor, nestled in Montenegro’s stunning Bay of Kotor, is a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its medieval charm and breathtaking scenery. Its Old Town (Stari Grad) is a maze of cobbled streets, historic churches, and charming squares, all surrounded by ancient city walls. The must-do Kotor Fortress Hike rewards climbers with panoramic views of the bay, a fjord-like setting that’s among the most beautiful in Europe. Known for its blend of natural beauty and well-preserved history, Kotor is a captivating destination for travelers seeking a mix of adventure and old-world charm."
"Kotor, located on the interior of the Bay of Kotor, is a wonderful place to spend a few days. With a Stari Grad and beautiful views of the mountain-lined bay, it doesn’t get much better."
